We provide steel detailing service to meet clients’ customized requirements. We work on real-scale 3D models to generate the following drawings and reports:
• Advance Bill of Material, KSS/EJE files, Shipping lists/Bolt Lists
• Detailed Erection Plans, Isometric details of complex connections
• Fabrication Drawings, • Single Part Drawings, NC/DXF files
• 3D IFC Models / .DWG Drawings
We undertake all types of steel structures and are willing to accept projects of all sizes, ranging from a few tons to thousands of tons.
We provide 3D Steel Modeling services to enable the clients to visualize and preview the structures from an early design stage. The 3D model can be used as a platform shared by designing professionals of various disciplines including architects, civil engineers, structural engineers, MEP engineers, interior designers, etc. This platform is of great value for coordination of design issues and detection of clash components.
We utilize the latest Tekla Structures for real-scale 3D modeling.
We work with the architects and engineers in the early stage of design. The engineer’s BIM model can be imported directly into our 3D modeling software. This allows us to work directly with the designers and resolve any design issues even before the detailing stage is started. Earlier involvement in the project will also largely reduce the time spent on RFI’s.
With the information obtained from the pre-detailing stage, we can prepare advance bill of material for the clients. This bill of material can be used as reference for cost estimation and bidding, or advance planning by workshop for procurement of major materials. The advance bill of material is a special service provided to clients even before project award.
We offer a wide range of connection design services, including grouping of connection types, tabulation of connection forces, and calculation of connection strengths.
Steel connection types include simple shear connections, rigid moment connections, welded connections, bolted connections, beam to beam connections, beam to column connections, base plates, brace connections, splice connections, etc.
We maintain a small group of experienced structural engineers specializing in steel connections design to cater for clients’ design needs. Our engineers are conversant in the common international design codes, including British Standard BS5950, Australian Standard AS4100, European Standard EC3, and relevant AISC codes and specifications.
